I am a proud Oak Bay community member, neighbour, and parent. My parents, brothers and I have called Oak Bay home for 25 years. For the past ten years my husband and I have actively parented our two children in Oak Bay, while building our professional careers in the public service and non-profit sectors.

I am a University of Victoria alumna with a B.A. in Applied Linguistics and a 22-year career in language education. For over two decades, I have helped children and adults build literacy and language skills through my work in education and the non-profit sector. I started my language education career teaching in Spain and spent some time in Korea, before returning to Canada where I’ve been happily working for the past nine years in south Vancouver Island.

I am parent and a volunteer in this community and I enjoy participating in all of the wonderful community events in Oak Bay.

My dedication, hard work, and passion for working with people of all backgrounds, ages and abilities in the literacy and language sector is the reason why I’m the right candidate to work on your Oak Bay Council.

I am running for Council because I want to be a new voice and provide broader representation for Oak Bay Council.
