My dedication, hard work, and passion for working with people of all backgrounds, ages and abilities in the literacy and language sector is the reason why I’m the right candidate to work in your Oak Bay Council. I have years of experience working as part of a team to take on challenging issues. I am a thoughtful listener who keeps an open mind while not losing sight of the need to reach set goals.
As your Oak Bay Councillor I will work hard to ensure Oak Bay’s future, community and beauty are sustained and enhanced for everyone’s enjoyment. Below is a selection of my top three priorities as councillor.

I will work to strengthen Oak Bay’s future through services and infrastructure for our entire community.
Guiding questions include: How can we expedite projects that will serve our community to avoid costly delays as prices rise? How can we ensure that all residents understand the “what” and “why” of proposed projects?

I will work hard to sustain and enhance our parks, beaches, recreation opportunities and community gathering spaces for everyone’s enjoyment.
Our parks and green spaces are a big part of what makes Oak Bay special, and they require careful and ongoing maintenance. Some recent examples are the ongoing Carnarvon Park project (now over 8 years in the planning phase) and the opportunity presented by the Oak Bay Marina lease at Spewhung (Turkey Head).

I will work to safeguard a compassionate and healthy future for all residents of Oak Bay.
The changing climate is already affecting our delicate ecosystem with drought and warmer temperatures. Oak Bay needs to be prepared for what the coming decades will bring. Too many residents still do not have a family doctor. That is something that the municipality can help address.
